The setup was a bit challenging, but thankfully, YouTube had great instructions. The small USB piece is for the wireless controllers (which do require 2 AAA batteries each), and it simply plugs into the HDMI port of the console. There are literally thousands of games available, including many I had never heard of, along with classics from my childhood like Frogger, Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter, Sonic, Contra, Tetris, and more. It was smooth sailing with no glitches right from the moment I connected it to the TV. My husband loved this game so much that he joked about paying me to keep it. 😂 Let’s just say he’s now quite absorbed in gaming, so I might not see much of him for a while. 🙄

Those that do work are often sped up to the point of being unmanageable. Admittedly, the fighting games are decent, so perhaps about 10% of the titles are actually playable. However, the controller is a letdown too; it doesn’t follow the SNES layout and can’t be reprogrammed.
